In an effort to protect each other and prevent the spread of Covid 19, Concordia has adjusted volunteer programs. As the situation unfolds, we will assess the possible risks associated with each volunteer position and will implement specific measures to minimize exposure to the virus. Recruitment of new volunteers is temporarily on hold, with new applications being accepted and held until additional volunteer support is required. We are all in this together, “be part of the team to beat Covid 19”.

Concordia Hospital is a community hospital, and we have always relied on community support. Volunteers have been the cornerstone of Concordia Hospital since its inception more than 85 years ago. Volunteers contribute their unique talents, skills, and knowledge to our facility and our community to provide personalized attention to our patients, to enable employees to concentrate on the work for which they are trained and to foster good relations between the hospital and the public which it serves. Over 350 volunteers provide over 27,000 hours of service to Concordia Hospital and Concordia Place.
Are you interested in getting involved? We offer a wide variety of volunteer opportunities. For example, volunteers transport patients throughout the hospital, provide visits to patients, and deliver newspapers and fresh water to inpatient units. Volunteer positions are available 7 days a week, in morning, afternoon and evening shifts.
