About
We are an integral part of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and partner with health care agencies and providers to serve the community of northeast Winnipeg. There are over 1,100 staff and volunteers that are part of our team.
Our Urgent Care is a vital health resource for our community. The Urgent Care Department provides care for unexpected, but non-life-threatening health concerns that require same day treatment. Supporting the Urgent Care is a range of diagnostic and support services.
Our Family Medicine Program provides acute medical care for residents of northeast Winnipeg. The medical care is supported by physicians that provide primary care in our community. The care provided is integrated into the range of services that are provided in the community. Concordia is also involved in providing primary care to the surrounding community with a clinic located within the hospital.
Concordia Hospital specializes in orthopaedics involving joint replacements. This extends our community to all of Manitoba as well as to northwestern Ontario and Nunavut. The orthopaedic work includes lower and upper joint replacements. Our orthopaedic focus has led to the creation of the Hip and Knee Institute. Our range of services also includes our 140 bed Concordia Place Personal Care Home that is located on the Concordia campus.
We also provide outpatient cancer care with our partner, Cancer Care Manitoba.
We are formally affiliated with the University of Manitoba and Red River College, whose students learn from us.
Concordia is accredited by the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation.
